Refund Policy

THE LASH EDIT & THE LASH INSTITUTION

REFUND POLICY

Effective Date: 09/08/2026

This Refund Policy applies to all online courses, digital products, downloadable resources and, where applicable, physical student kits purchased through The Lash Edit and The Lash Institution.

By purchasing any of our products or services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Refund Policy.

1. Digital Course Purchases

Our online courses are digital educational products. Access to course content is generally provided immediately after purchase.

Due to the nature of digital products, we do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind.
  • Incorrect course selection.
  • Failure to complete the course.
  • Lack of time or commitment.
  • Personal circumstances.
  • Business circumstances.
  • Deciding the course is no longer suitable after purchase.
  • Failure to read the course description prior to purchase.
  • Dissatisfaction where the course has been delivered substantially as described.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where required by law, we will provide an appropriate remedy if a course or product has a major failure or does not meet the consumer guarantees provided under Australian law.

3. Course Access

Once access to an online course has been provided, it is considered that the digital product has been supplied.

Students are responsible for reviewing all course information before purchasing, including:

  • Course description.
  • Prerequisites (if applicable).
  • What’s included.
  • Course format.
  • Certification information.
  • Technology requirements.

If you have any questions before purchasing, we encourage you to contact us so we can help determine whether the course is suitable for your needs.

4. Payment Plans

Where payment plans are offered, students remain responsible for completing all scheduled payments in accordance with the agreed payment plan.

Failure to complete a payment plan may result in:

  • suspension of course access;
  • withholding of certification;
  • suspension of student support;
  • recovery of outstanding amounts where permitted by law.

5. Student Kits

Where a course includes a physical student kit:

  • ownership transfers upon dispatch;
  • shipping times are estimates only;
  • delivery delays outside our control do not entitle students to a refund.

If a student kit arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery so we can assess and resolve the issue.

For hygiene reasons, opened or used products cannot generally be returned unless required under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Technical Issues

If you experience technical difficulties accessing your course, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible.

Where the issue relates to our learning platform or course delivery, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the problem promptly.

Technical issues caused by the student’s own device, internet connection, software or browser settings do not generally entitle the student to a refund.

7. Duplicate Purchases

If a course is accidentally purchased more than once, please contact us immediately.

Where we can verify a genuine duplicate purchase, we may, at our discretion:

  • provide access to the correct course only;
  • refund the duplicate purchase; or
  • provide another reasonable solution.

8. Course Cancellations by Us

In the unlikely event that The Lash Edit or The Lash Institution permanently withdraws a course before access has been provided, students will be offered an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • transfer into another suitable course;
  • store credit; or
  • a refund where appropriate.

9. Certification

Refund requests will not be approved because:

  • a student does not pass their assessment;
  • additional practice is required;
  • certification has been withheld due to competency not being demonstrated;
  • a student chooses not to submit assessments.

Purchasing a course does not guarantee certification.
